GPM drop across chiller barrel

GPM drop across chiller barrel

(OP)
Is there a calculation using the Pressure Drop from entering PSI and leaving PSI on the chiller barrel?

RE: GPM drop across chiller barrel

The delta pressure drop has to be converted to ft of water then you need to have the mfg specs for the particular heat xchanger your checking (1 psig = 2.3 ft)

RE: GPM drop across chiller barrel

Yeah, but you are still better off putting in a mag flow if this is a new project.  Ask your chiller rep and they might give you a curve or a few points to fit a curve to.
