Autocad Viewports

Autocad Viewports

(OP)
Hello All,
I would like to know if there is a way to "Lock" the view port from showing all layers after I have created a new layer in my model.

Every time I have my view ports set & current viewport locked & I add a new layer in the model & for some reason Autocad shows "All" layer in the viewport that supposed to be locked?, why does it do this?  Is there a way to stop this from happening...

Any help would be great

Thx,

Lee H

RE: Autocad Viewports

New layers are by default visible.  You can change this when you create the layer but it would be a small effort on your part.

I think that by actually freezing a layer in my model space is what made all the viewports update to show everything...?

RE: Autocad Viewports

It should not have done that.  It does not do that for me.

RE: Autocad Viewports

use the command VPLAYER command when in layout

O.k. I will try that...

Thanks
