Drawings Look Fuzzy

Drawings Look Fuzzy

Drawings Look Fuzzy

(OP)
Our company server got changed out and all my personal settings in solidworks got reset to default.  I think I got everything back to normal, but my drawings look too fuzzy and distorted.  I changed the image settings to max, and the fuzziness is gone, but now everything looks too bold and not sharp as it used to.  I can't remember what I had to do to fix this, but this happened when I upgraded to 2008 at the beginning of the year and can't remember how to fix it.

RE: Drawings Look Fuzzy

I don't know why changing a server should affect your personal settings but;

Check that the graphics/video driver is suitable for your SW version.

Check that Draft Quality mode is not enabled.

cheers

I'll double check my video card, but I've had this problem before a while back, and I fixed it, I just don't remember how.

How do I check draft quality?

RE: Drawings Look Fuzzy

Go to Tools > Options > System Options > Drawings -- Display Style and make sure the High Quality option is selected under the Display quality for new views section.

If a view is Draft Quality, the cursor icon should show a square with a white lightning bolt.

Check the Help > Index for draft quality > Quality in drawings for moe information.

cheers
