Cleveloc nuts

Cleveloc nuts

Cleveloc nuts

(OP)
Hello all,

not sure where this topic falls, but it is related to vibration - well kind of!

What happens to the torque figure for a Cleveloc nut compared to a std full nut?

I would expect it too reduce since the elliptical collar will increase the torsional load on the bolt, but by how much ?

Help
Tony

(And thanks in advance)

RE: Cleveloc nuts

I'd measure the prevailing torque before the nut contacts the washer/part and add that to the desired torque value.
