Senior CWI Exam

(OP)
Hello, I have been welding for 25 years in the Trades,I had my CWI for past 9 years, and have done alot of QA/QC work.
I am going to take the SCWI in Sept. Anyone out there who has taken it, and can give me some advice on what Materials to bring to test site that may help me. Will I need to bring any codebooks? Are the exam  Qusetions much the same as the CWI exam? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Senior CWI Exam

I believe you can bring any reference material you want.

You can look up the answer to any questions you don't know.

They give you a listing of the books, standards, etc. the questions are taken from. The list is lengthy and the airlines will charge you for the weight if you are flying to the location where the test is being given.

There is one section that required you to use B2.1.

Brush up on your NDT and stainless steels.

Best regards - Al
