Source for a bracket

Source for a bracket

Source for a bracket

I know this seems simple but I'm looking for a source other than Mcmaster that sells off the shelf angle brackets like the one in the picture.

Mcmaster doesn't have the size I need.  The legs are 1.25"

Thanks in advance,

RE: Source for a bracket

Try Haefele.  They sell all kinds of cabinet hardware.

How many do you need?  Seems like it would be simple enough to hack a bigger one into shape.

Thanks for the quick reply but they didn't have them.

They do have a lot of really cool stuff and I bookmarked them.

RE: Source for a bracket

Is it for a one off?  Couldn't you have it made quickly?

RE: Source for a bracket

we do laser cutting and stamping; but our location is in Germany.. how many pieces do you need? material, dimensions, tolerances, delivery date?

RE: Source for a bracket

Unless you are in the South American Rain Forrest, I have to believe you have dozens of places around you that could quickly make something this simple.  What material are you using?

I'm in Alabama, and we can make it.

RE: Source for a bracket

With an much industry in Brasil nowadays, you could probably get it done somewhere near the Amazon.. the world is a small place now..

We have a full machine shop in the next room but things like this are way cheaper to buy than make.

RE: Source for a bracket

Don't forget to include the time it takes you to find the part when evaluating whether something is cheaper to buy than make.  Oh, and don't forget shipping.

RE: Source for a bracket

How about 80/20? they have an eBay site for unloading over runs etc.. I found this 1.50 X 1.50 extruded bracked on a quick search:

http://cgi.ebay.com/8020-T-Slot-Aluminum-Corner-Bracket-15-S-4302-N_W0QQitemZ320264566539QQihZ011QQcategoryZ29402QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

I didn't note that you had mentioned a quantity so if you only need a few for a fixture this might be a source. If it's for a product of several hundreds or thousands, perhaps not.

lumenharold

Thanks for trying to help me out.  I am familiar with 80/20 stuff.  Unfortunately I need a slotted bracket.

Goofy

I do know how to do a complete cost analysis.  I was hoping someone would just say 'here's the link to bracketfactory.com'

Oh well...maybe it's time to just make it.

Kevin

RE: Source for a bracket

Sorry Kevin, no such luck in my search. I searched for bracketfactory.com, bent-hunk-o-metal.com, etc and came up empty as well.

Good luck....
