Flatend part

(OP)
Hi,

I have a problem that im trying to solve for a shop fitting friend. He has a wall that is in the shape of a basic sinusoidal pattern. This wall has a circular door way cut through it. Im trying to work out a way i can model and flatten the finished product so he can use it as a pattern to make the part out of flat wood sheeting. Im guessing that a sheet metal part would be the way to go, but its one of the areas that i haven't had much exposure to. I've had a play but dont seem to be getting a result thats accurate. Any ideas how i can do this?
