I am working with Electric Power Plant.I have to know about
Cooling Tower water quaility standard such as circulating water and make up water and comply with any international Std  . Could anyone give me information or recommendation ?  Thank a lot

RE: Cooling Tower water quality

Towers can tolerate a wide range of water qualities, but the blowdown rate increases as total dissolved solids increase.  I know of no international standards.

RE: Cooling Tower water quality

The cooling towers may be able to tolerate a wide range of water qualities, but the equipment it is hooked up to might not be able to.

Local water chemical companies can help you out, but they will want to put there equipment out there, so get a couple of opinions.

Your cooling tower selection should also tell you how much water your going to need to make-up and blow-down.
