Bill of Material

Bill of Material

Bill of Material

(OP)
Hi,

I have a assembly file with 12 different configurations. this assembly inturn has parts and sub-assemblies with multiple configuration within them.

Now, for the main assembly drawings, I need to create 12 different ones to show their individual exploded views with BOMs.

I am unable to get the indented BOM. I see lot of varioation in the way the BOMs are generated from one cfg to other. Few cfg are OK, many are not. It doesnt bring many parts/sub assemblies to BOM (wierd). I tried hitting the "follow assembly oder" button, it worked for few drawings. But there still few drawings, no matter what I do I cant get the complete BOM.

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks
BMR

RE: Bill of Material

bmrao123,

Is it possible that someone has set $NEVER_EXPAND_IN_BOM to Y or YES, in a design table of your sub-assemblies?

My doesnt use a spread sheet for configurations.

I didn't know that we could control this in BOM. Thanks for bringing this up. besides, I would like to know if there is a list of all these $XXXX that we can use in design tables.

Thanks
BMR

RE: Bill of Material

bmrao123,

Search through the help files.  Definitely, there is a list in there, somewhere.  You ought to be able to fix this in the configuration specific properties menu.
