Inspection report form

Inspection report form

Inspection report form

(OP)
Our company doesn't normally do inspection work but we are going to do some for a unit price contract for a local municipality.  Does anyone know where I can find a good Daily Inspection Report Form.  I have looked online but havn't found one I really like. The municipality we are working for also doesn't have one.

Thanks.

RE: Inspection report form

What do you have to inspect?

The installation of a parking lot with typical utility changes, sanitary, storm, water etc. Some retaining walls.

Thanks for the response.

RE: Inspection report form

Not sure the type of work being performed, but a couple of things come to mind.

One is will you be doing materials testing as well, ie the compaction testing for soils, deflection and vacuum testing for pipe, pressure testing for water, etc.  If your company is not set up for that you might want to be clear that is not part of your inspection.

Another thing I have heard is to word your inspections services as 'Construction Observation Reports' as opposed to 'Inspection Reports.  I think that limits your liabity to some degree.
