RE: memory pairity error

Did you add any new RAM lately?

RE: memory pairity error

hi, it looks like you need new ram.

RE: memory pairity error

(OP)
yes. i had two nos. 64 mb chips. one become faulty so i replaced it with new one of same capacity. now what to do?

RE: memory pairity error

First, swap memory locations in the motherboard.  Second, replace the new RAM.  Third, try and figure out why the RAM went bad in the first place.

the problem is still remain same. i replaced two no. memory chips of 64mb with one of 128mb.the only change is in the frequency of occuring. somebody suggested that this is not a hardware issue . instead of when windows processes mixes then this sort of error occurs. and it can be solved by defragmenting hsrd disk. unfortunately this will also not work. now what to do?

RE: memory pairity error

you must get back to a known good state and start adding components from there!

melone: will u plz further explain it?

RE: memory pairity error

before you started adding memory to your computer, everything was working fine, correct?  if so, go back to the last known good configuration and start there.  Once you have a stable starting point, then you can start adding components and see what causes the failure.
