Solidworks 08 Equations
Solidworks 08 Equations
(OP)
I am trying to link a value to a variable in the equations menu. I have successfully linked one dimension to the same variable, but I tried to link a dimension of a plane angle to it. The message of "Incompatible Range of values make these dimensions unlinkable" pops up and won't let me link. I can manually change the dimension to the value of the variable, but it will not link. Has anyone seen this before?

RE: Solidworks 08 Equations
You may try
A=1deg
B=45in
U=1in
ANG = ("B"/"U")*"A" = 45deg
Same thing happens for variables like scalars for number of loops or pattern numbers. I find the best way to get the correct linked values is to create a sketch with dimensions for each of the types of units you want to use.
