joining a 3d model drawing and a 2d isometric drawing

(OP)
Hi all,
I have a 3d model drawing and a 2d isometric drawing (AutoCAD) and I need to make the two of them in to one drawing. The 3d is a part that needs to be added to the isometric. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Of course it is possible.
You have two dwgs? I would use "_copybase". Do not forget the ucs.

David,

Put your solidmodel into the isometric view you want.

Use the solprof command to take your 3D model to a flat isometric view.  Copy into your isometric drawing.

Is that what you are looking for.
