Recording a mapkey with pause for table manipulation

Recording a mapkey with pause for table manipulation

Recording a mapkey with pause for table manipulation

(OP)
Hi,
I am working in pro/enineer drawing and inserting tables.

What i am trying to do should be simple:
I am trying to copy the contents of 5 cells in column "A" (A1-A5)
and place them into an empty set of 5 cells in column "B" (B1-B5)

What I decided to:
I recorded a mapkey with a two step mapkey with a pause.
The first step of the mapkey (before the pause) copies the contents of A1.
The second step of the mapkey (after the pause) pastes those contents into cell B1.

When I run the mapkey to perform the one by one copy paste operation for the rest of the cells the mapkey does not work properly.
At this point I select cell A2 run the first step of the mapkey and then select cell B2 after the pause prompt.  However the mapkey pastes the contents of A1 into B2 instead of copying contents of A2.
Can someone explain to me how to do this?
Or if there is a simpler way?

Thjanks,
Taz Engr
