Adobe BOOKMARK Tab disapeared

Adobe BOOKMARK Tab disapeared

Adobe BOOKMARK Tab disapeared

(OP)
For some strange reason, maybe an errant combination of keystrokes, the BOOKMARKS Tab in my Adobe file has disappeared. It was there on the left hand side along with the THUMBNAILS, COMMENTS and SIGNATURES Tabs, but, not any more. I can see the BOOKMARKS by pressing the F5 key, but I want the BOOKMARKS Tab back as a selectable Tab.

RE: Adobe BOOKMARK Tab disapeared

Even though this is not a spreadsheet question:

- if your document doesn't have bookmarks, there is no bookmarks tab.
- otherwise, right-click in the left hand panel (that has the other tabs), and select Bookmarks,
- this should open the bookmarks window. You can drag the tab in this window to the left hand navigation panel.

This all assuming you have Adobe Reader 8.

Cheers,
Joerd

Thanks joerd (I've asked the same Q in many I-net forums and
of Adobe and not gotten a good answer)

The problem was that I had the bookmarks tab on the left side and could select it or one of the others (Thumbnail or Comment or Signature). Now, I only have Thumbnail or Comment or Signature: for some unknown to me reason the Bookmarks tab went away.

RE: Adobe BOOKMARK Tab disapeared

The bookmarks tab should be available whether your pdf document has bookmarks or not.

On the top menu try View --> Navigation Tabs --> Bookmarks

Alternatively on the top menu try Edit --> Add Bookmark
