ventilation rate for banking area

ventilation rate for banking area

Going back to a previous post, I was able to get the manufacturer´s data regarding the heat output of the automatic money counting machines. Now I have another question: in such a 2000 sqft money receiving/counting/sorting area, for the ventilation cfms of the air handler, should I use minimum per person ventilation rates or are we talking about a 100% fresh air situation due to odor / contaminants ?

RE: ventilation rate for banking area

What are the odors and contaminants and what are  their concentrations?

Hi Willard:

I don´t really know if there is a concern regarding money/coin related odors or contaminants for such an area. That´s why I´m asking for some advice. My guess is that for ventilation requirements this can be treated as any normal banking area, but I´m not sure.

RE: ventilation rate for banking area

I suggest treating it as regular office space.  They may move things around and place someone on the room.
