hide detail view boundary?

hide detail view boundary?

Is it possible to hide the dotted line boundary of a detail view in drafting?

RE: hide detail view boundary?

Try to hide it with a view dependent edit, it works in NX2. Not that I advise doing it, but it is possible.

Thanks, that works fine.  And you can revert to the original by deleting the view dependent erasure, so it's not a permanent edit.

RE: hide detail view boundary?

You could also try using the 'Rectangular Boundary' which doesn't create any boundary objects at all.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Using the Rectangular Boundary, is there a way to have the view label letter be displayed with the boundary on the base view?

Seems like the only options allowing display of the detail letter are circular.

RE: hide detail view boundary?

That's because officially there is no standard that supports anything but Circular boundaries, or at least that's what our Drafting people have told me when we last discussed these issues.
