Micromotion Massflowmeter RFT-9712 transmitter board malfunction

Micromotion Massflowmeter RFT-9712 transmitter board malfunction

(OP)
Dear Sirs,

We have at our plant (Petrochemical) almost 30 Micromotion Massflowmeters ranging from 1/4" (D-006) to 3" (DS-300), most of them bought and installed in 1992.

They have been working pretty well since then, but recently they have presented a recurrent problem (RFT-9712 transmitter board malfunction) and Emerson in Brazil answered me that they do not have more spare parts for this generation transmitters to supply. Their recommendation, therefore, has been to replace the entire flowmeter by a new one. From this answer on, we have been trying to fix the transmitters but we seem to be "walking in the valley of shadows".

Does anyone have similar experience with this kind of transmitter? Have anybody had a expert/company which could fix/quote this transmitters or the parts in Brazil, or even in the USA?

Thanks in advance.
