How to calculate the noise reduce in silencer
How to calculate the noise reduce in silencer
(OP)
Dear All,
When the duct lined with the muffler w can apply the formula NR = 1.05*alfa^1.4*L*P/S
Where;
alfa = Sabin absorbtion coefficient
L = Lenght of duct (m)
P = Perimeter of duct lined (m)
S = Cross section area of duct (m2)
If the silencer consists of duct lined, pod and the inner ring (as the picture). How to calculate the noise reduction(NR)?
