Australian Machinery standard?

Australian Machinery standard?

Australian Machinery standard?

(OP)
We are sending a machine to Australia.  I have a copy of AS/NZS 3000 "Wiring Rules".  I even have a copy of EN 60204-1, but I know Australia is not currently a CE country.  I'm designing the electrical control panel and would like to follow proper color codes and fusing rules, etc.  It seems to me as AS/NZS 3000 is geared more toward buildings than industrial machinery.  I was wondering if Australia has an equivalent to US standards NFPA79 and UL508a?  Is there an AS/NZS standard for industrial machinery in general?

RE: Australian Machinery standard?

Try looking in SAI Globals website http://www.saiglobal.com/shop/script/search.asp This is the site that looks after Australian Standards. The AS3000 series is the elctrical Australian Standards for installation with AS3000 being the wiring rules. Have a look at AS60204 which may help. On the SAI Global website you can open this document and see the table of contents. Generally, Austrailian Standards in the AS60... series are copies of European Standard modified for Austrlaia.

I looked at the index for AS60204-1 and it states that the wire colors deviate from Australian AS3000:2000.  However, it doesn't say if that's OK or not.
I'm confused as to why Table 3.5 from AS3000 does not list a color code for DC(24V) wires.  It lists "Active", "Neutral:, and "Earth/Bonding".  Am I to assume that you can group 415V/3ph. with 120vac AND 24Vdc under the "Active" color?  That doesn't seem right.
