Steam Vapor Recompression

Steam Vapor Recompression

(OP)
Can someone point me towards resources for steam
vapor recompression equipment/installed sites/etc. in the
US?  I am aware of a system installed at a paper mill (Bowater) in SC more than ten years ago but little else in the US.  The idea is to recapture waste low pressure steam.

RE: Steam Vapor Recompression

They were the subject of numerous proposals from process consultants during the energy crunch of the eighties.  Try searching for "thermal recompression", I got 36,000 hits.

RE: Steam Vapor Recompression

it is very possible but also very expensive,
the energy needed surpases the savings
