Changing locked material thickness

Changing locked material thickness

Changing locked material thickness

(OP)
Hello,

I would like to change the material thickness on a sheet metal part. The problem is that as I go to Tools/Material table and then to the Gauge-area the material thickness option is shadowed out and I can´t change it.

Is there anyone who knows what might be locked as I don´t have permission to change the thickness. I even made a new copy of the part to exclude any write protection. I have been able to change the thickness this way on several other parts.

grateful for any help,

/Christer

RE: Changing locked material thickness

Do you have a Part copy inside of this part? If so in the options for the part copy you can check if you want to keep the same material from the original part or not.

Thanks for the answer,

Good idea, however I do not have any part copy inside the model. Another model is linked to this one by a part copy but that could not possibly affect, can it?

Guess the simplest thing may be to re-build the model, it is not all that advanced.

RE: Changing locked material thickness

Has the material been linked to another variable ?
Check the variable table to find out.
If it's linked it will be indicated in the Formula column.
