Restrict CATIA to a single printer

Restrict CATIA to a single printer

Does anyone know of a way to restrict CATIA printing to a single printer rather than all of the printers available to Windows?  I would like to have "general" printing only available on a printer selection that is set up to apply an "UNCONTROLLED" watermark to all documents. Released documents will be printed using a different process.

Create a Macro, assign it to a specific Toolbar, and teach your users that using any other printing method is a violation of the quality policy at your company.

OK, I can assign a macro to a toolbar button but for the life of me I can't find a way to include the print document command sequence in a macro.

The V5 macro record function seems to be very fussy about what it will record, nothing useful as far as I can see.  Looking at the Infrastructure - Automation - Drafting documentation I can find objects relating to PrintArea, Printer and Printers and sample scripts using these but nothing that actually sends the current document to any printer.

Surely there's some CatSetting that will restrict printer choice to a specific list (which could have only one entry winky smile ) ?

Hmm...  You might have to talk to one of the programming experts.

As for the CATSetting, I highly doubt it - DS left all of the printing/plotting stuff to MicroSoft.
