Toolbox measure

Toolbox measure

Toolbox measure

(OP)
Hello,

I work in Solidedge v20. Sometime the toolbox of measure vanish and it is impossible for me to read the measure after. So I want to know if it is possible to recover this toolbox. For the moment I erase the solidedge register but all my setting remove.

Thank you.

RE: Toolbox measure

Recover toolbars within Draft: delete this Key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version XX\Detail\Toolbars

=================
Other environments: delete this Key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version xx\ToolbarSettings

XX =  Your SE Version. Tip: after deleting the whole SE key and have
redone your settings export the whole key. This will enable you to
delete the key and reimport it by just a double click on the
exported .reg file. BTW: when you would like to look into the
exported file only use Notepad other editors might make the file
unusable for import when saved.

RE: Toolbox measure

I never knew that, Thanks for the tip Don

RE: Toolbox measure

Hi,

you are welcome. The deletion of the above keys might
not solve the problem under all circumstances there
might be other registry entries as well that are wrong.
The problems with disappearing windows, toolbars and other
anomalies have increased with the advent of V19. Sometimes
only the deletion of the whole key does help.
Some problems might be solved by running MakeVerCurr.exe
(located in program folder of SE) it must be run as admin

RE: Toolbox measure

Hi Don,

MakeVerCurr.exe is interesting.
I Have a client who use V17, so every couple of months when I work for them, I switch between V17 and V19 every couple of days and to be honest things do to tend stay stable.

Food for thought!
