How to calculate Chilled Water PUMP HEAD????

How to calculate Chilled Water PUMP HEAD????

How to calculate Chilled Water PUMP HEAD????

(OP)
I'd like to refer to thread407-199822: How to calculate NPSHA in a closed pumping Loop? in reply of BigInch. I've attached here his scketch to ask my question.

1)do we need to add height of water lift of expansion tank(for closed & open type expansion tanks) + atmospheric pressure (only for open type expansion tank) for pump head calculation. In sketch, this is not included for pump head calculation.

my open type expansion tank at the roof top. (my altanative is closed type expansion(bladdertype) tank to be installed in suction side of the pump)

2) in 160m high rise building , pump room in 8th floor at 38m. secondary chilled water pump head is 5 bar. I selected valves PN16 (160-38=122m).

Pump suc. Gauge        Pump dis. Gauge
    12.2             12.2    ---> shile sys. not working
    12.2              17.2 (12.2+5) ---> while sys. working

Are above pressure gauge readings correct - those are my guesses? (Pressure gauges at suction and discharge sides of pump)

3) If I go for closed bladder type expansion tank.... how do i calculate or get precharge pressre of tank ???

4) how do I select the best location to connect closed type expansion tank to chilled water pipe.

5) Do I need to provide air vent before the closed type expansion tank to prevent air entering to tank (because i heard if air enters to bladder type expansion tank, it affects to funtonalaty of tank.)

Guys ...... Can you give some inputs.........

This is my first post, i checked in the site to contact BigInch(one member of eng-tips) But I couldn't..... does anyone know, how to contact a member of this site.
Thanks.
