Solidworks for HVAC shop drawings

Solidworks for HVAC shop drawings

Solidworks for HVAC shop drawings

(OP)
Does anybody know of a parts library for HVAC duct work.

Also is anyone using Solidworks for HVAC routing and then 2d workshop drawings?

I have done what I consider an extensive search on the net but can not find what I am looking for.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

RE: Solidworks for HVAC shop drawings

I used to do HVAC balancing.  None of the HVAC designers I know are in 3D yet.

I think HVAC is a bit outside of SW's scope.  Yes, it can model sheet metal.  However, most HVAC drawings (that I worked with) don't use that kind of detail.

For a while I was on retainer with w/ a civil firm in case they ever needed SW.  They never did.
