Is the hydrometer dimension standarized?
Is the hydrometer dimension standarized?
(OP)
Ontario Provincial Standard says that you should check the hydrometer dimensions (L1, L2, Vb, A) yourself, because the ASTM does not specify the dimensions.
I have found that universally used dimensions (L1=10.5, L2=14, Vb=67) are different from what I measured. especially the Vb ( Volume of Bulb). The universally used is 67cm3 and my measurement is 57-60cm3 although this difference does not affect the final result significantly.
Any comment on this? Thank

I would say that 67 is mentioned in ASTM and is widely used. The commerial computer programs use this figure by default. Why my hydrometers are so different from this figure?
