DWG - PDF

DWG - PDF

DWG - PDF

(OP)
I tried to send some drawings to a client, they e-mailed me back and said that they can't read them. I need to know how to convert from DWG to PDF, can anyone tell me how to do this (AuotCAD 2007 LT)

RE: DWG - PDF

You'll need a program that creates the PDF, such as Adobe Acrobat.  You'll have to pay quite a bit for Acrobat, but if you want basic PDF creation, check out CutePDF.

RE: DWG - PDF

Or if you can upgrade to AutoCAD 2008/2009 it comes with PDF printing.

RE: DWG - PDF

Nitro professional PDF is quite cheap and close to adobe Acrobat.  It does a good job with me.

RE: DWG - PDF

If you have Adobe Acrobat on your computer, just open the DWG, press file, save as, and pick PDF.

This will only work if you have Adobe Arobat in your system. I convert files all the time.

Hope this helps.

PDF 995, FREE!

RE: DWG - PDF

You can convert files to pdf online at the Adobe website. I think the first 5 are free. After that, there is a fee. I don't recall if the fee is per file or an annual subscription.

RE: DWG - PDF

Actually, I believe that 2007LT has pdf support built into it, native.  (Granted, it's buggy, but it's there)  That was the first year that Acad included the gizmoes in the programming to print straight to pdf's (LT and full release).

It should have installed a "dwg to pdf.pc3" when acad lt 2007 installed.  Just need to build a page setup with the plot settings, and go with it.  (Unfortunately, LT won't let you publish a bunch of files at once to anything other than a dwf, I think.... you need to do them one at a time, or use one of the solutions above)

RE: DWG - PDF

I use WIN2PDF.  Google it for a price list.  You just treat it like a printer. Works great.  Since it's a virtual printer it's not just for Autocad.  You can print from any where to a pdf file.

Does it print in A1 size?

RE: DWG - PDF

Try PDF Complete - free and works well

RE: DWG - PDF

Maybe your client has an older version of AutoCad.  You might try saving the drawings as an older version??
