A RFQ for Nimonic 95 grade sand castings

(OP)
I have received a few hours ago,a RFQ for Nimonic 95 grade sand castings. The quantity is about 500 kilos. I have a few concerns regarding manufacture of this alloy.

> Is it possible to melt this grade in open air furnace.?

> What will be the possibilty of the melt becoming gassy?

> How about the grain size and its effect on mechanical properties?

> Will machining a sand casting pose any problem?

I shall be thankful if I could be directed to source this grade as an alternative from Singapore. Also any help regarding prices in N America?

The application of this is for heat treatment fixtures.

Thanking you in anticipation.
