Hydraulic vs all Electric Pedestal/Jib Cranes

Hydraulic vs all Electric Pedestal/Jib Cranes

Hydraulic vs all Electric Pedestal/Jib Cranes

(OP)
Anyone have any experience on which type of jib or pedestal type crane is usually more realiable?  Hyrdaulic or all Electric?  Reliability and limited crane down time is our primary concern, not cost.

RE: Hydraulic vs all Electric Pedestal/Jib Cranes

Hydraulic is usually electric/hydraulic and electric is simpler to maintain.  Use 150% capacity of estimated maximum load for longest life. (Workmen under estimate the weights being lifted.)
