Pipe manifold.

Pipe manifold.

Pipe manifold.

(OP)
I have been asked by a client to review the design for a pipe manifold. It is a 6" schedule 80 pipe, 60" long with nipples and end caps.  I am to review this per ASME code.  My question is which part of the code applies?  I did a Google search and got everything under the sun.  My office has set of ASME code books but several volumes are "missing".  Any help regarding how to start this, what to look for and code information would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

RE: Pipe manifold.

What industry?  Are you inside a plant fence or outside?  What pressure and temperature?  What human-population density?

All of these questions impact which codes and standards govern.

RE: Pipe manifold.

No offense, but you shouldn't really be reviewing it, if you don't know what part of what code applies.
