(OP)
SR, DR and MR ratings of current transformers. How do they compare with IEC spec'd CTs?

Thanks

RE: ANSI Current transformer ratings

I believe that SR, DR, and MR refer to single ratio, dual ratio, and multi-ratio, not to ratings.

RE: ANSI Current transformer ratings

Hi Powercrazy:
jghrist is absolutely correct.  The abbreviations you listed are standard abbreviations for single ratio, dual ratio and multiratio C.T's.

Good Luck.

RE: ANSI Current transformer ratings

In IEEEC57.13, multi-ratio (MR) secondary windings are specifically defined (for 600:5A MR to 4000:5A MR).

In the IEC world, there is no specific definition of multi-ratio. Therefore, it must be specifically spelled out, i.e. 500/1000/2000:1A.
