Concrete Placement in Tidal Zone

Concrete Placement in Tidal Zone

(OP)
I have a concrete pier project where the pile caps will have to be poured within the tidal zone of the Chesapeake Bay (Brackish Water). It is possible that the new concrete could be submerged after placement due to tides. What measures would be recommended to protect the concrete during curing of the bents?

RE: Concrete Placement in Tidal Zone

None, the forms left in place for seven days and cure compound sprayed elsewhere is sufficient.  (If forms are removed early, then respray the exposed surface with pigmented cure compound.)
