AREVA MiCOM P132 IED integrated in SICAM PAS
AREVA MiCOM P132 IED integrated in SICAM PAS
(OP)
Hi,
I have to integrate 32 AREVA MiCOM P132 protection relays, using IEC 61850 protocol into SIEMENS SICAM PAS full server.
Is anybody have such experience?
I have already integrated more than 30 SIEMENS protection relays (7SJ) but still have problems with AREVA.
The problem is ICD file which MiCOM S1 Studio exports. Even I have configured IEC settings (IP address, network mask, IED name, etc.), in ICD file this parameters are zeros.
Best regards,
Svetozar Yolov

Only Areva can help you with this issue ( if can).
Yes, it's 61850 protocol , acording to theory same for all
mnf., but ....

Not sure from who or where you acquired your PAS. In any case, you can try contacting Siemens PT&D in either Nuerenberg Ger. or Wendell U.S.A. They have the PAS expertise that could resolve your issue.

What you need is the CID file that has a communication section including IP-address and the other information you requested. This file is not created directly from the MiCOM S1 Studio. You need to convert the .mcl file from the Areva IEC 61850 Configurator to the CID file. This is done with an external SCL Converter. (This program you need to get from Areva).
How to use the CID file in Siemens IEC 61850 system configurator? Well I have used it for Goose engineering and simply renamed it .icd. It than imported okay and the information you need is understood by at least Digsi. (I also had to move a line <BitRate unit="b/s"... that came out a couple rows lower down than in the sample ICD file Areva provides. Test your CID file at http://www.61850.com/ before using it to avoid trouble.)
