Electrical Distribution Courses

Electrical Distribution Courses

(OP)
I would like to know if there is an electrical distribution organization that gives scholarships for international electrical engineers. Our company at this moment is unable to pay for distribution courses such as transformers & reclosers maintenance. Any course in the power distribution area would be helpful.

RE: Electrical Distribution Courses

Are you looking for a program in a geographic area or online?  Would you want full time or part time courses?

The geographic area could be anywhere as long they cover partial transportation expenses. Online courses are good, too, if you have information. The courses can be full time for a few days or weeks if necessary.

RE: Electrical Distribution Courses

What country are you from?

One possibility is the IEEE has a distinguished lecturers program in which they pay to send an individual to a country to teach a short course.  This is usually arranged through a local IEEE chapter.

With this arrangement, the local IEEE usually pays for the lodging and expenses and the headquarters pays for airfare.

There's a number of individuals, myself included, who teach short courses on application topics involved with distribution.  It may be a good deal less expensive to pay for one individual (instructor) to travel rather than several individuals (students) to travel to a course.

I am from Honduras. I will talk to the IEEE representative here and see if it is possible to arrange some short course. So far, I know that the local IEEE has done just invited one person to talk about SCADA.

Exactly... however, how can we be exponsored by a company?
