How to divide cylindrical object into multiple sections?

How to divide cylindrical object into multiple sections?

(OP)
Hey all, I need to divide a round object into multiple pieces.
I got a lot of help at this thread over the past few days that could possibly be helpful here: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=219139&page=1

I have a cylindrical object that needs to be divided evenly into 19 pieces based about the center point of the object. I know how to divide the part but is there any way to split it into pieces yet keep all the objects in tact?

Let me know if I need to clarify anything.

Thanks

RE: How to divide cylindrical object into multiple sections?

Hi,

it's possible but what is the reason behind to do that in
the part itself? I would prefer to pattern the piece within
an assembly. Either create a tiny cut and pattern it or create
one piece and pattern it 19 times (leave a tiny space between
them). Regardless of the method you choose: it's one part/model.

Have a look at the divide part tutorial - it's under Create Molded Part or something like that.
Why 19 pieces ? Are they equal segments ?
If so it doesn't fit nicely into 360deg.
