RE: multiphase pumps

multiphase pumps, what phases, liquid solid, soild gas, gas liquid, or all three?

RE: multiphase pumps

(OP)
I need to know more about pumps that can be used in a petroleum well head. I have to compare different solutions for transporting hydrocarbons:
- separating the 2 phases (oil and gas) and transporting each single phase
- pumping the whole fluid that I obtain at the well head.

The phases are liquid-gas.

Do you know a book that permits to go deeper into this matter?

Thank you!

RE: multiphase pumps

Well, this is a totally different matter than I was expecting. How are you planning to get the produstion out? A pump jack? Are you using a separator afterwards to separate the production gas or a tank? This would probably be the simplistic simples approach. A pump jack, depending on the conditions, would probably get you the production to a storage tank quite a ways.
