RE: Import .CSV file
Your suggested action will created a note.. But I want to populate the table with the contents from the previous sheet.. If I can do a export of these contents into CSV format, why is there no path to inport it in the same format ... If I create a abc.csv file by using excel ... How can i insert the same as a table on to the drawing sheet?
What i want to achieve is that if i dont have MS office on my system I want to have a table to be put on the drawing sheet with the contents.. So I can use CSV format to do this.. I tried to find to import the CSV file.. but i found i have no way of doing it independently without the use of spreadsheet in the background..
Let me know if iam clear about my objective..
Thanks

But I dont want to use the spreadsheet option to import the csv file.. If Iam using a machine without MS WORD,Excel ,Spreadsheet not loaded on it, How can I achieve my objective.. I want to know if UGS has given option to export the contents of the table to csv format ... There should be a option to import into the table using csv format without selecting the import via spreadsheet option...
Hope iam clear as what i need ...
Thanks in advance
RE: Import .CSV file
John,
Any small chance that something like Open office will ever inter-operate with NX alongside or instead of just the Microsoft standard. A lot of companies are adopting open standards where possible, we also have the problem that not all users have the luxury of having Office installed on their machines.

RE: Import .CSV file
I'm sorry, but a spreadsheet interface requires a spreadsheet. Not wanting to use a spreadsheet, when probably 95+% of our customers has MS Office loaded on their PC's, is NOT going to be sufficient for us to start providing alternate schemes for every place that NX interfaces to a Microsoft product or uses an MS formated file.
As for support of 'open source' alternatives there are people who have suggested that and there is some investigations under way, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

RE: Import .CSV file
Do you by any chance have that kind of program? Iam not into coding stuff ... so If you have any programs which can do this work for me ,it will be very helpful for me...
Thanks in advance...

I'm a bit inconvenienced with system upgrades at the minute so I'll reiterate the plea.
If anyone is able to do something quicker or better please chime in.
