Part Navigator Details/Dependencies
Part Navigator Details/Dependencies
(OP)
Ok, I don't have much more hair to pull out, so I figure I may as well try to find an answer. Sometimes when I start NX5 and open a part, the Details and Dependencies do not show up at the bottom of the Part Navigator, They're not collapsed or minimized, they are just simply not there.
I have poked around numerous menus and preferences trying to find a way to make them show up to no avail. The only way is to exit NX and start it up again. It used to be that after doing that once they would always be there, but lately it's been taking two or three times before they show up.
If there's a way to make them show up when they're not there and I've missed it, by all means someone please enlighten me. If not, and I just have to kep exiting and getting back in until they show up, then it's just an annoying bug.
Thanks.

RE: Part Navigator Details/Dependencies
However, while I agree it's very aggravating, there is an easy way to fix it for you current session. While the Navigator is closed, go up and double-click the tab that opens the Navigator. By double-clicking, you will force the navigator to open as a free-standing object. Now just close the navigator by selecting the 'X' in the upper right corner, but now when you reopen the Navigator the extra panels should be available.

Try double clicking on the Part navigator palette icon. Instead of slidding out it should create a seperate window that you can move around and the part navigator palette disappears. You should see the dependancies & details panes then.
Now click on the x to close the window. It should then re- appear in the pallets and you should now have your dependancies and details panes back.
Hope that works in NX5 for you.
