Anyone Using SW Routing/Electrical?
Anyone Using SW Routing/Electrical?
(OP)
I'm fairly adept at SW, and have been fighting the Routing add-in for a while now. I've got what I think is a fairly simple and straightforward application, but I just can't seem to "get it." My problem is that in all the tutorials and examples I've seen, after dragging a routing component into an assembly, thus automatically starting a new route, when bringing a new component into the route, they're always able to use mate references or other tools so that the components "snap" into place. I have not yet mastered the mate references, and I am unable to use assembly mating tools, because I'm technically "editing" a component (the route subassembly itself). So, while I know what needs to happen both before and after the components are placed, it's the actual step of placing the components in the route subassembly that's gi ving me trouble.
Any help will be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks very much. I'll keep that in mind and give it another shot. I just feel like I'm 99% of the way there, and it would be perfect if I could just get past this part placement "thing."
