Can anyone help me ? I want to know how to make grooves on a cylinderical surface in solidworks models

You need to create a plane through the center of your cylinder. Then, simply add a sketch on that plane with a construction line on the axis and do a revolved cut.

If you have SolidWorks Toolbox (or SolidWorks Office - which includes Toolbox), then you can use the groove tool in the part modeling environment...
