Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

Ok well I am looking to expand the Cosmos Works material Library to do non-linear analysis. In order to do this you need to have stress strian data for the materials you are working with (A stress strain curve).

I have been looking for this data on materials but have not much in terms of data for these materials! Is there any place you can go to get this data or some data base you can download! Like the data base from http://www.fcsuper.com/swblog/?attachment_id=64.

The only problem with this one is they don't have stress strain curves included with it!

RE: Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

You probably won't find this for free.

Ya I know but if I can get it for a reasonable price that would work!

RE: Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

I would love to add it, but don't have the time to look up all of the data to add to all of the materials. If someone had all the stress strain curves data for my materials, I would be more than happy to add them, but may take some time.
ConfusedEE,
Do you have the data?

No I am currently trying to get the info if I get it I will send you what I have!

yep, professional is only static

Does anyone know a gerneal location where I can get the stress strain data?

RE: Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

There are books out there.  They are not cheap.

Well I had the book Atlas Stress-Strian curves 2nd ed but it only had the curves in it and I want the data to go along with it! Something with data points!

RE: Materials Data base for Non-Linear Analysis

The data may be hard to find.  I can imagine it's likely not near perfect either.  There are a ton of variables taken for granted even in the static numbers.  On top of that problem, the big issue is that all the variables are taken as constants.  This would be compounded when dealing with non-linear calculations.

Ok, well I guess sense the data isn't going to be perfect I can try to extrapolate the data from the curve. It won't be perfect but it will be good enough for governemnt work!
