The only one in the world?

The only one in the world?

The only one in the world?

Hello,

We need to source an enamelled copper wire stripper but the company who sold us the one we currently have in use won't ship any more to us as they havn't yet got there RoHS certificate for these strippers.

It really does appear to be the only stripper of its kind in the world. -And it's so useful we really need it....

We are looking to buy many Enamelled Copper Wire Strippers for our new production line for our electric motors.

We need the specification for these strippers to be as follows.......

1. Be 240V (UK) mains electricity powered.

2. Be hand held.

3. Able to strip enammelled copper wire

4. Able to strip enammelled copper wire of diameters 0.7mm to 1.2mm (minimum range of diameters).

5  Have a "strip length stop" facility so that the      length    of wire that gets stripped can be set.
-the "strip length stop" must be settable for between 5mm to 20mm (minimum range)

6. Have an internal vacuum (dust collection facility) unit which sucks away the dust etc which arises during
the stripping process. (we don't want the dust getting into the circuitry etc)

(This above spec is achieved by eg the Eraser.com AR3401 stripper but we are unable to buy it since
Eraser will not ship it to a European company as the AR3401 doesn't have a RoHS certificate.)

I would be most grateful if any reader could supply details of any unit to the above spec, or companies that may have a same/similar part.

Best Regards,

Well, I assume you hold the wire and poke it in the thing and press "go"!

RE: The only one in the world?

How could the magic device that was described ever NOT be expensive.  Hand held, motor driven, vacuum sucking, depth controlled!!

It's great to see the idiot RoHS policy screwing with the countries that have come up with it instead of the other way around for a change.

Oh sorry treez

Hi,

I think we'll have to get that Abisofix model...thanks for sending it sreid.....

i'm now owndering about strapping one of those soldering iron fume extractor tubes to it as othrwise the metallic dust will fly into the circuitry.....

RoHS has messed us up.....have you tried soldering with unleaded solder yet?...even worse....desoldering unleaded solder from a PCB?.....i saw a soldering genius who couldn't get unleaded solder out of a plated thru hole to save himself.
