Proper Ex Motor for area

Proper Ex Motor for area

(OP)
Hi Guys,

Can anyone let me know what type of motor should be used in an area where there may be Hydrogen.

The reason for this question is in this area there is an II 2G EEx e II T Motor and then a II 2G EEx de IIC rated Motor. I hae a feeling the EExe Increased safety motor is the correct as hydrogen is classed as IIC T1. These motors are IEC in Europe and Atex rated.

Thanks

RE: Proper Ex Motor for area

Feg,
I tried to find one recently to use on a lab hydrogenator. We ended up with an Air motor. Class 1 Div 1
I will follow  this thread with interest.
Regards
Roy
