Plate tests

Plate tests

(OP)
Hi all,

I have recieved plate bearing tests on 'made ground' and the results have been issued as a modulus of subgrade reaction and CBR percentage. Using these results can anyone indicte to me how I can estimate Bearing capacity for a design of a raft slab over? Thanks

RE: Plate tests

why post the same question on every forum?

RE: Plate tests

Oh my god was it a terrible thing to do? sorry if i inconveienced you

RE: Plate tests

No, parrot77, it is not a "terrible" thing to do but it is frowned on by most who visit the various forums.  Almost anyone reading the "soil mechanics" forum will also read all the other geotechnical forums.  By posting in two different forums you lose the ability to see the continuity in responses that you would see in only a single post and the responders lose the ability of seeing if what they are saying has already been said.  For the best response it is best to put the eggs in one basket (unlike the financial markets!)
cheers
