Looking for a Microchip MCP1727T Cross Part

Looking for a Microchip MCP1727T Cross Part

(OP)
Hello all,

Seems like the place for this..

I used a handful of MCP1727T-ADJE/MFs (LDO, 8-DFN 3x3, 1.5A) on a design and it's back from FAB.  I was just informed there is a problem getting them....can't find them anywhere

I would use an MCP1726 but it can't handle the current (worst-case).  The on/off and pgood feedback is a requirement.  Microchip Direct has them arriving in July which is too late.

I've tried:
Linear
National
ON
TI
Fairchild

Any ideas or other manufacturers I should try?

Thanks,
dan

RE: Looking for a Microchip MCP1727T Cross Part

Try with some Japanese folks: Toshiba, etc.

RE: Looking for a Microchip MCP1727T Cross Part

WOw.. You even used the 3x3... A true glutton for punishment.

Annoying Microchip has no samples..

I'm sorry to hear of your plight.  I have been there enough times that I never (NEVER) send a board out for fab without first having every single non-resistor part actually on order.  That allows you to adjust your layout at the last minute to head off these nasty turns of event.

Yep, everything needed to be small, with 500 components on a 2.5x5" board I had no choice.  I did my best so this would not happen, Microchip always has some stock (unless you count on it apparently); they had stock when I designed them in a few months ago.

Not really sure what to do at the moment.  I may have to kludge something on there for the first few boards so the sw guys can get going.

I'm having no luck finding anything either..

Do you need tape and reel?
MCP1727-ADJE/MF says 580 ready to ship on
Microchip direct.

Awesome!  They didn't last night; ordering immediately!

Looks like some folks have very good connections up there in Microchip smile
