unwanted edit component mode on double click

unwanted edit component mode on double click

unwanted edit component mode on double click

(OP)
In version 2006 in an assembly I used to be able to double click on a sketch of given part on the feature manager tree which then displayed the sketch at which point I would modify a dimension value. I was able to do this without the part going into edit in context mode.

When I attempt this on 2008 instead of simply allowing me to view and modify the value on the sketch the part automatically goes into edit component or edit in context mode which I personally don't like.

Does anyone know of way to revert back to the old function or a way to disable this feature?

Any tips are appreciated,

Sam

RE: unwanted edit component mode on double click

I hated that too.  You have to turn of Instant3D.
