Composite Pump Vanes

Composite Pump Vanes

(OP)
I am looking for sources for composite vanes for a sliding vane vacuum pump. I am hoping to find a supplier who is familiar with making vacuum pump or compressor vanes. I would appreciate any help.

RE: Composite Pump Vanes

Check Greenleaf ceramics.  They have wisker reenforced ceramics that migh be very good for your application. Light, stiff, good bearing surfaces, chemical resistnace, etc.

Am I wrong, or is mass of the vane a good thing???  Are you springing it out?
