Pressure drop method?

Pressure drop method?

Pressure drop method?

(OP)
Hello!
i'm trying to run a simulation for a succion of a VRU, so the vapors conditions are, low presure, low flow rate, the line diameters are bigger than 8'', and the lenghts are superior to 5000ft,i'm using Begg & Brill–Moody for presure drop method, and thermodinamic system peng-Robinson.  which are the correct correlations that i must use for this conditions?
I hope you can help me..
Regards!

RE: Pressure drop method?

beggs brill is not a pressure drop equation, its a multiphase flow adjustment for friction factor and is only used for multiphase flow.

For multiphase flow, Lockhart-Martinelli,Baker, & Hughmark are typically used.

I assume you are using Peng Robinson to calculate phase change.

The problem will be more with the physical installation, you can calculate all you want, but a few changes in the actual system will not meet the design you do.
