Specs for A217-WC6

Specs for A217-WC6

Specs for A217-WC6

(OP)
I am trying to find information regarding A217-WC6.  I have discovered that it is a casting spec, but I can not find any specifications.  Can someone point me in the right direction and point me to a book that would list the specifications for A217 Grade WC6?

I also need to know what procedures I should use for hardfacing portions of a part made from this material.  Knowing the procedures would be great, but knowing where to find the procedures would be better.

I found this discussion already about welding A217-WC6, but I thought my question was different enough to start a new thread.

RE: Specs for A217-WC6

You can purchase the specification from the ASTM, it is also listed in Section II A of the ASME Code. WC6 is simply a 1 1/4% Cr - 1/2% Mo low alloy steel. It is listed in Group P-No 4. ASME Section IX provides essential and nonessential variables for qualifying hard surfacing procedures.
